Sawgrass Country Club is the premier private country club of Northeast Coastal Florida, ideally located just 30 minutes north of historic St. Augustine and an equally short drive to downtown Jacksonville with all of its cultural and recreational attractions. Sawgrass Country Club has been synonymous with great golf ever since it played host to The Players Championship in 1977. The premier PGA Tour event was played on our East-West Course through 1981, when it moved to its nearby current site nearby at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) at Sawgrass.
 

The golf course, now with 27 holes, was designed by noted Arnold Palmer Course Design architect, Ed Seay. Through the years, Sawgrass has been consistently recognized as one of the finest courses in the country and has been included in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Courses in the U.S., Golf Digest’s Best Courses in Florida, and Golf Week Magazine’s Top 100 Courses in America. Carefully nurtured Tifeagle greens reward the skillful putter who has successfully negotiated over or around the picturesque lakes and bunkers that beautify the course.
 

The three nines provide the variety of three different rotations and include five tee boxes to accommodate players of all abilities. A spacious driving range, putting green, practice bunker and chipping green round out a total golfer’s needs for game improvement. Our resident pros offer individual and group lessons and special technique clinics year ‘round.
