A lot has changed in the past 200 years, especially for Wachesaw Plantation. Centuries ago a hunt began on this southern Myrtle Beach former Rice Plantation property. It began with a rifle and small metal ball and sack of gunpowder. Today, the hunt begins with a larger, dimpled white ball and an oversized titanium driver. Today the hunt is for the perfect round of golf, instead of dinner. The triumph of victory is no less exhilarating today than it was centuries ago.
